Welcome Letter From The President
Welcome to the 2012 -2013 school year at Northside ISD. This year Northside ISD Council of PTAs proudly adds Los Reyes Elementary PTA to the district. We are excited to announce that there are now a total of 100 PTAs and PTSAs in our Council!
Our Council board of volunteers has been busy this summer getting ready for the school year and we look forward to working with each of our local PTAs helping their local team be successful in bringing programs to their school. The PTA Mission is:
To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
NISD is a large district with needs that vary depending on the school. We are here to assist each school with the particular needs relevant to that PTA. Council PTA offers a variety of training and support classes with materials. We can also provide a Local Board Orientation training in which we come to your school. Council publishes five newsletters a year and supports programs such as the Jack C. Jordan Scholarship and the Reflections fine arts program.
We hope that you find our website informative and useful. All of our Council board members have had experience on a local PTA and are ready to help support you when you have questions. Our contact information is on the website. I look forward to meeting many of you at our general meetings in 2012 on September 6th and November 1st and in 2013 on January 10th, March 7th, and May 2nd.
